The longest calligraphy scroll written by 3-small-character style in the
world
Mr. Wang Qinggui, from Jiangyou City in Sichuan Province in China,
handwrote the five classics-- “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”, “A Dream in Red
Mansions”, “The Water Margin”, “The Pilgrimage to the West” and “the Myth of
Deduction”, all together about 4 million characters with writing brush in three
kinds of very small characters, i.e. Xingkai, Lishu and Xingcao from September
2001 to December 2010. The scroll is about 885 meters long and 0.55 meters wide,
and it creates the world record of the longest calligraphy scroll written by
3-small-character style in the world as recognized by World Record
Association.
