From August 2010 to October 2011, Mrs. Gao Fang and Mr. Wang Zengjiang from
Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, China, used silk threads (6 strings twisted
together) to embroider the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival. With a total
length of 33.6 meters and a width of 0.66 meters, it contains 3,122,170
stitches, setting the world record granted by the World Record Association for
being the world’s longest cross-stitch using silk threads to represent the
Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival.
