On April 18th 2012, the tea painting of saint Lu Yu’s head portrait was completed by Jietan Organic Tea Development Co., Ltd of Yuanling, Hunan in 594 kilograms of fresh green tea leaves, 1008 pieces of black brick tea, and 588 tins of Jietan Ningchun tea, with a length of 15.3 m, a width of 11.4 m, and an area of 174.42 square meters. It set the world record granted by the world Record Association for being the biggest tea painting of saint Lu Yu’s head portrait in the world.
