On September 27, 2012, in the opening ceremony of the 7th Hunan Cuisine & Culture Festival held in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, China, a large mooncake filled with Hunan lotus-seed-paste was made by Hunan Hongxinglong Xianglian Food Co., Ltd. With a diameter of 138 cm and a thickness of 23 cm, an area of 14149 square meters, it set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the biggest Hunan lotus-seed-paste mooncake in the world.
