湖北玉龙大洪山生态旅游开发有限公司于2010年6月至2011年4月采用五莲红花岗岩为原材料制作的石质象棋“湖北玉龙温泉象棋”，共32颗棋子，每颗棋子直径1.39米、高0.45米、重2吨、总重64吨，创世界纪录协会世界最重的象棋世界纪录。

——Hubei Yulong Hotspring Chess
From June 2010 to April 2011, Hubei Yulong Dahongshan Ecotourism Development Co., Ltd used Wulian red granite as the raw material to make the lithoid chess “Hubei Yulong Hotspring Chess” with 32 chess pieces of which the single diameter was 1.39m, the single height was 0.45m, the single weight was 2 tons and the total weight was 64 tons. It has broken the world record of the heaviest chess as recognized by World Record Association.
